Current Favorite for Fall 2016: Single Eye Shadow

Current Favorite Singe Eye Shadow

I have an absolute favorite to share with you today.  I have been using this L’Oreal Paris Eye Shadow non-stop for a few months and I had to make a post because it’s so amazing.  It’s from the Colour Riche line and it’s in the shade 207 Pain Au Chocolat.

In looking at this color it doesn’t seem so special but upon swatching it, the texture and color are just what I’m looking for when I want a quick, fresh, put-together eye look.  Sometimes I want a lighter eye shadow to make me look more awake, but they can look weird on my skin but this eye shadow brightens and isn’t too light.

In the pan, the shadow looks kind of mauve and taupe, but when on my skin a slight pink/purple comes out that is so flattering.  The shadow also has this super fine shimmer throughout that adds so much dimension without being over the top.

The texture of this shadow is interesting.  It so creamy, yet it’s not a cream–maybe just a creamy powder.  I pressed my finger in the shadow and it felt kind of bouncy.  AND it blends really nicely and lasts on my eyes for quite a long time. I find that it applies best with your fingers (even though I hate using my fingers to put on eye shadow) or a flat eye shadow brush.

I have not heard the best reviews about this Colour Riche line, I guess the shades are hit and miss.  This shade is one of the HITS for sure.  I was surprised to hear negative reviews on these shadows since the one I bought is so amazing. You can find it online here: PRETTY EYE SHADOW HERE.

I just had to share this amazing find and maybe I’ll try out a few more colors from the line to hopefully find some more must-haves.  Have you tried any of the other shades?  Let me know below!

Almost forgot. Rating: This shade gets 5 out of 5 cups of coffee.  Yes, it’s that good.
